I am agree with your points. when we decrease the bandwidth of wdm mux below certain limits the system performance degraded to some greater extent if further decreament in bandwidth. I am attaching osd file DWDM system for this.

Could anyone will help me understand between AWG and WDM mux.
Where and why we use both. I think usually in DWDM we use WDM mux, not AWG.
So, please make understand. Here i am attaching osd file of 8 channel DWDM system using CSRZ modulation, here may i use AWG in place of WDM Mux.

If your design requirement is 800 ONUs.I suggest you to use a TWDM or OFDM PON architecture.WDM Provides a point to point link between the transmitter and reciever but implementing that for such a great number requires a vast infrastructure.TDM on the other hand provides a point to multipoint link.The hybrid combination of the two will help you to design a system with large ONU capacity.

you are welcome. As far as i am concerned, you can yourself design a simple WDM system taking parameters of the system in accordance the parameters suggested by ITU-T/ IEEE or the other thing you can do is just refer to paper which has implemented simple WDM system and compare its results with the one you developed. You can refer to the examples in the sample files provided by optiwave itself under the folder name WDM systems.

My scope is Direct-Detect System (LAN). So i have developed successfully WDM-MDM system but to prove this claim i have to compare my results with standardized WDM or at least WDM with a year 2014 or 2015. Your kind help is appreciated
