How do i improve the Q factor in BER analyzers? I also designed a WDM system which i used WDM mux&demux. The BER diagram is much more stable in WDM system.
Topic: Active Optical Network
I am trying to create a active optical network(AON) in Optisystem. I searched internet inside out. But i can’t find any project or article to help. All projects are about TDM, WDM, GPON, BPON etc. Nothing about active optical networks.
I know that an AON uses ethernet switch. (And also no project samples in the internet about EPON as EPON is called “Active Ethernet”.) But i cant quite find the right component. When i type “switch” in “find component”, the result is shown in the image following:And the system i designed is like that:
I don’t know if this is an AON system or not. Can you help me with that? Any help is appriciated.Thank you.

I have read one paper and try to implement it in optisystem but i Have one doubt.
In this paper wavelength range used 1525-1625nm, channel spacing 0.2nm and number of channels 100.How could it possible 100 channels with o.2nm channel spacing in between 1525nm to 1625nm(100nm).
As per my knowledge it should be 500 channels
if we use 1525-1625nm wavelength = 100nm/0.2nm spacing =500 channels
Results also shown with 1525 to 1625nm with 100 channels

I have a problem with OptiSystem. I am trying to simulate DWDM link and before MUX Optical Power Meter and WDM Analyzer the optical signal have strong power, but when I measure the signal at out of MUX it is disappear.
I also tried with Ideal Mux – result is the same.
I attach OpitSystem project. Please help me resolve this problem.

dear colleges,
I am trying to simulate QAM4-OFDM WDM PON system.
BER tester is utilized in the OFDM part .
the system shows the EVM but always it shows BER=zero and it doesn’t realistic.
the input signals are CW 193.1 THz 193.16, 193.2, 193.26 THz, line width is 0.1 MHz.
the system speed is 10 Gb/s. is the line width of the CW laser source has the effect on the BER appearance? or what?

Estou montando uma rede GPON WDM, mas o sinal não chega no splitter de segundo nÃvel, já aumentei o nÃvel de potência no transmissor, já coloquei um amplificador EDFA, e ainda assim não obtive sucesso. Agredecia que me ajudassem a solucionar este problema para que eu possa dar sequencia na minha tese.Topic: WDM/FTTH
