DWDM in optisystem

Hello.
How many DWDM channel can I simulate with my optisystem15?
For example can I simulate 80 DWDM channel with 100G spacing and 200 Gbps\channel??

Dear Arash,
yes you can. However, the results depends on your project design. There are many examples in OptiSystem Example library that show similar simulations.

Thanks for your response. What do u mean by project design?
Can I simulate 200 Gbps dwdm system with qam modulator and coherent receiver?
Should I use fiber optic or cwdm fiber optic?

Dear Arash,
The project design is your target design and the components used in OptiSystem layout.
yes you can design the desired system in OptiSystem.
you can choose the fiber based on the effects you’d like to include in the system. There are differences between the two fibers. Please check the component properties and the datasheets of the components for more information. The datasheet can be accessed from the help button in the component properties popup window.
