    Please note that you can’t load OptiSystem .osd files to the posts on the forum. You may email your zipped project file to support@optiwave.com and we’ll check it out.
    You may use the WDM analyzer to measure the available channels at the input of the receiver (place it at the output port of the component in front of the receiver) and get the power of interfering channels and calculate the crosstalk.

    Is it possible to elaborate on your enquiry? the question is not clear. It would be helpful if you add a diagram to show where you’d like to measure the attenuation or gain?
    There are couple of visualizers (WDM Analyzer & Electrical Carrier Analyzer) in OptiSystem that can be used to monitor the signals in the optical and electrical domains and calculate the gain/loss.

    hello everyone how the component will be connected with 4 channel WDM-ROf to calculate the attenuation
    or the gain in order to get the desired Q factor or minimize the BER by optimizing the fiber
    length of the system.

    you could you the WDM FBG Sensor Interrogator to get information on the variation of the grating center wavelength variation with temp. please refer to the example (FBGSensor_Example_4_Gratings.osd) in OptiSystem example that describes the operation of the sensor and the interrogator components properly.

    Could anyone help me to know if my design is correct or not because I struggle with it, I am working to do Colorless ONUs based on SOA in U-DWDM-PON, and I have got a very low Q-Factor and high BER. I would be more than grateful if to let me know what am I supposed to do.

    There are two related question about my optisystem file in Version optisystem 15.

    But i can’t change the optimization parameter properly.

    The second file titled ‘ASE source’ is that i want to construct a ASE source with 40nm bandwidth and 1dB flatten rate. But the optimization result for Max/min noise ratio is 0, at the same time, all the result from WDM analyser is 0.

    I used optisystem version 14 for 16 channel DWDM with FBG and EDFA and I have done all the requirements, where FBG is used to reduce chromatic dispersion but I have a problem in the last step which BER analyzer does not display the correct result, can you help me please I will be thankful.
