Hello everyone,
Could anyone help me to know if my design is correct or not because I struggle with it, I am working to do Colorless ONUs based on SOA in U-DWDM-PON, and I have got a very low Q-Factor and high BER. I would be more than grateful if to let me know what am I supposed to do.
I will highly appreciate a positive response regarding my issue.
Kindly find attached the file,
Sincerely,
Tariq Mohammed
Dear Tariq,
I’ve noticed that your connection to the R-SOA is not correct. Please follow the example (Reflective SOA.osd) in the example library for guidance. Also, note that the BW of the MUX/DEMUX AWG is two wide (10GHz) compared to the modulated signal (2.5Gbps) and this will cause more interference at the receiver and during propagation.
Regards,
Ahmad
