    Respected Sir,
If I use more than five FBGs in line, the WDM FBG interrogator does not show the reflected spectrum of more than five FBGs.
I am attaching my optisystem model with this mail. please let me know where I am wrong. Could you make corrections if it is possible?

    Thanks &

I applied MPO optimization to find the optimum carrier frequency of the frequency modulator for a range of frequency from 1 to 250GHz for DWDM multi-channel. but the calculation can not be continued because step termination tolerance was reached. what is the matter and how this problem can be solved?

    hi
when i designed a qpsk system with wdm fso and increased the number of channels from 8 to 16 and keep the center frequency 193.44khz at fixed distance , attenuation , and all other parameters so when i compare the result of Log BER for 193.414 at 8 channels wdm and for 16 channel WDM i found that the value get better at 16 channel for example the value at 8 channel is -3.152 and for 16 channel is -3.192 . i think that is not true? can any one help me to clarify this point .

    thanks

    Hi,

How to establish Dual Channel FSO for 16 Channel WDM according
to the mentioned paper below ?

    Hi,

I am trying to simulate degenerate four-wave mixing (2f2-f1 and 2f1-f2) in O-band. In my simulation I have two lasers (f1 and f2) multiplexed and transmitted over fiber. I also have two extra dummy lasers at -100dBm so that Optisystem will simulate the spectrum where the FWM products are expected to be.

For the fiber I am using the “Optical Fiber CWDM” component, since this is the one I will employ in my full system simulations. I have chosen the following settings to replicate SMF-28 fiber: Ref. wavelength=1312nm, Attenuation=0.4dB/km, Dispersion=0ps/nm/km, Dispersion slope=0.092ps/nm^2/km, DGD=0ps/km, SPM and XPM both enabled, Effective Area=67um^2, n2 = 27e-21m^2/W. All other fiber settings are the default ones.

In the simulation I perform a sweep of the wavelength spacing (lambda1-lambda2) from 0 to 25nm and for each iteration I am looking at the optical spectrum at the output of the fiber using an OSA. However, the spectrum does not seem correct for three reasons. First, increasing the frequency spacing does not affect the amplitude of the 2f1-f2 FWM product (fixed at -22 dBm). Second, there seem to be some aliasing that is producing some FWM products that do not land on frequencies multiples of delta_f from the signal frequencies (see iterations 3,6, and 9). Third, the 2f2-f1 product amplitude decreases with larger spacing (iterations 1 to 3), then increases (iterations 4 to 8), and then decreases again (iterations 9 to 10).

I have attached a zip file containing a screenshot of the testbench and the OSA from the 10 iterations from 0.5 to 5 THz spacing in 0.5 THz steps. Can you please tell me if there is a setting that I need to change to correct the simulation?

    Thank you

I have problem with OptiSystems (BER Analyzer didn’t give me the write values ) also the parameter in the transmitter (CW laser frequncy & power ) , MUX (freq) , fiber (reference wavelength ) ,also on the receiver ( photodiode +3R gerator +low pass gaussian ) .

    hello
I have a problem when I designed a 8x112gbps 16-qam fso system that the value of OSNR is very high( i think its not real) but the value of BER is acceptable , I noticed that the value of noise power is -100dbm for all channels and its not changed but I don’t know why i think this is the reason that osnr is high as attached below. I also want to ask about the value of bandwidth in mux and demux depend on what?
    can anyone help me ?
    thank you

hello everyone I am doing with 32-channel DWDM, but I want to use Ideal dispersion Compensation FBG instead of DCF to see what will happen with the result. For the frequency parameter in FBG, I have chosen the central frequency of the channel, and the Bandwidth parameter is set to 250 GHz, the value of bandwidth must be changed, or will be the same? cause I have seen information in the previous forum which the Bandwidth of FBG must contain all DWDM channels. please help me I will be thankful I can not find the correct result in the BER analyzer.

So, its not a problem at the visualization level. OS is not able to RUN the simulation when there is a GHz and a KHz bit rate generator is present in the same WDM system.
