I am trying to simulate a 64 QAM OFDM coherent detection system
As far as i know the symbol rate should be 1/6 of bit rate but my simulation not accepting these values rather it is working fine for 1/5 of bit rate and giving huge EVM

There is a QAM file given in samples/ Advanced modulation formats/QAM
In the same file u can remove DSP block
but performance will come down.

As far as i read from previous posts we can not use BER analyser to measure BER for an OFDM system and we should use BER test set instead.
Is there any other way to measure BER in an OFDM system ?

1. please guide me on the range for power so that it can be detected at the receiver.
as pointed by you I get very low power at receiver, it is -58 dBm at input to coherent receiver.
2. Also in a bidirectional fiber link should i try to boost power using amplifier or will it further degrade BER?
3. Which kind of amplifier should i use?
