Can someone what is the effect of sequence length on the BER?

Hi ankita,
I think in digital communication, BER is independent of Sequence length.
As BER is defined as the number of bit errors per unit time. The bit error ratio (also BER) is the number of bit errors divided by the total number of transferred bits during a studied time interval. BER is a unitless performance measure.
BER depends upon position of elements in constellation diagram in case of digital communication.
More error will occur, if distance between elements in constellation diagram is small and vice versa.

There is slight dependence of BER with sequence length.. The more the bit sequence , less are the chances of the sequence being in error..It means higher the length less the probability of error..I hope you understand..
