all of my dear i want to implement reuse of signals which are revived on receiver for cost effective aim, what is suitable filter for separate data from carrier to reused as transmitter in ONU??

    Hi

How do I calculate the Max Q factor on paper for a given system in order to verify if my simulated Max Q factor shown on my eye diagram in optisystem is correct and corresponds with my calculated Q?

Here are the parameters for the given system:
    32 x 5Gb/s DWDM system
Fiber span includes a 100km (NZDSF), 2.7km (DCF), EDFA (Gain = 21 dB & Noise Figure = 6dB), 6 connectors in total (0.75 dB insertion loss each)
    dispersion of NZDSF: 4 ps/nm.km
    dispersion of DCF: -147 ps/nm.km
    LOOP CONTROL = 1
    Transmission Type:DML
    TX Power:5dBm
    Central Wavelength: 1550nm
    Modulation Type:NRZ
    Loss of Multiplexer:5dB
    Loss of Demultiplexer: 5dB
    Frequency Spacing:100GHz
    Receiver Sensitivity: -18 dBm
    Thermal noise: 1e-022
    Insertion Loss of PIN: 3dB
    Cut off Frequency = 0.75 X bit rate = 0.75 x 5 Gb/s = 3.75 GHz

    Thank you, Sir
But can you send me the TWDM PON.osd file for optisystem 14.

sir am looking for TWDM or NGPON2 .osd files

    Hi Kumari,
you can use the bidirectional fiber as a medium of propagation.
for sources there are many examples explaining WDM. for example you can use WDM Transmitter followed by WDM Mux then insert the output to the medium of propagation. Or amplify the signal before the Bidirectional OF using pre amplifier…so on

    hope this helps,
    thanks

    Hi Ranjeet Kumar Sir,
I used your TWDM-PON_11.osd in Optisystem 14. But it is not working and showing error In CW laser 2. Can you help me? Its urgent for me.

I have made some simulation of DWDM System using 3 schemes of DCF in 40 gbps bitrate with 16 channel, and SMF length 200 Km & DCF 40 Km. The result show that Pre Compensation gave the best result for BER analyzer, but actually symmetrical should be the best schemes. Question is, do i need loop control for the sistem? or maybe there is something wrong in the system?

can anyone give the circuit diagram of optical RAM which I can implement using optisystem 7, please help I am working since 5 month but unable to draw a circuit. now, I am in choke what should I do. wdm enabled opram , i am implementing this circuit but at place of signal generator i am working with cw laser, i am attaching my opram write operation and opram cell.

    Greetings Sir

Thanks a ton for replying. My design needs 7 iteratons. I have got the results and the components are working properly but the problem relies on:
    1. I am not getting the exact output as the reference paper.
    2. The parameters put in Dynamic Y Select used in the onu (of business, building, school mall and residence) are correct according to my design or not.
    3. Can I replace 1*N splitter with WDM mux-demux splitter in the subsystems because i am getting better results then.

I’ll be highly grateful on being enlighten on this further.

    Thanking you

    Hi Alshafei,
    there is an example titled
    WDM PON.osd
you can start with it then change the whatever you want step-by-step, and compare between the two systems in terms of any figure of merit such as received power, BER…anything suitable to your design.

    I hope that helps,
    thanks

    Greetings to all
I have tried implementing the attached paper but am not getting the desired output. My query is especially related to the splitter and the dynamic y select. Whether parameters are correct or not. Another query is about the simulation time required as it takes about 55 minutes. I am attaching 2 files, one with wdm mux-demux splitter and other with 1*N splitter. What is the difference between both the splitters?

    hi
i am trying 16X16 AWG with 16 CHennal and channal spacing froom 100 ghz to 2500 ghz using rib waveguide in WDM PHASER ARRAY .the simalation signal are not multiplexing it create collided output power .anyone suggest the why this is coming initially i tried for 8X8 AWG I got the output properly
