When I simulate a DWDM PON architecture by increasing length from 50 to 160 km with 10 km increments. I receive following values,

6.742E-37 -7.12495 48.5072I want to link the results but I am unable to understand why there is a “-ve” sign with Penalty Extinction Ratio. And how do I relate BER, PER and OSNR values. As with increasing length PER and OSNR doesn’t change much while BER is increasing. Further there is a large Penalty Extinction Ratio value for smaller channel length and small Penalty Extinction Ratio for larger lengths. How do I interpret this? Please help

I want to simulate UDWDM with 10 GHz channel spacing, but it doesn’t work. It only works with 100 GHz. What would be the problem?

I’m doing a simulation of an optical transmission system SDH/WDM. so, I’m using SDH module which is a simulink module. So I need to recover the issue of the simulink’s simulation as an input of my system in optisystem.
how can i achieve it?

I’m new to optical communication and to OptiSystem .I’m working on a project of GPON based WDM using OptiSystem which is illustrated in the photo below.
As I understood it’s most likely to be a WDM system rather than being a TDM since it transmits different frequencies over transmission line!
This network WDM -GPON Works in type modulation NRZ
And I want to work in modulation Manchester what should I do?

I am analyzing the effect of Four Wave Mixing in 2 channel WDM(wavelength Division Multiplexing) radio over fiber system But i am having some problem in getting the correct output as mentioned in research paper. Instead of getting 4 signals at receiver(as per the formula m=(n^2/2)*(n-1)) i just get only 2.can you please help me to rectify my problem?.My project simulation profile is attached with this query.
