Webinar: How to Simulate Various Quantum Key Distribution Algorithms in OptiSystem
Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols offer a secure method for exchanging cryptographic keys, but their practical implementation requires thorough testing and optimization. Researchers and engineers can leverage simulation tools like OptiSystem to design and investigate the limitations of QKD protocols before developing and implementing them in real-world scenarios.
OptiSystem, a comprehensive photonic design suite with over 600 components, provides the necessary models to create and simulate different QKD algorithms. These components include Single Photon Pulsed Laser, Single Photon Detector, Pulse Polarization Meter visualizer, Polarization Analyzer, and many more.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate the simulation of various QKD algorithms using OptiSystem’s components. By leveraging these tools, we can showcase the transmission of generated keys over different channels, including single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers for wired transmission, as well as free-space and underwater channels for wireless transmission.
OptiSystem offers a wide range of channel models, enabling researchers and engineers to accurately simulate and analyze the performance of QKD protocols in diverse environments.
