Sir in optiwave 15 version multimode EDFA does not accept spatial pump signals why is it so? Is it possible to generate spatial multimode pump signal in EDFA?
When i couple Pump signal and Input Signal why does it show error, do i have to use spatial input CW signal and spatial Input pump signal. Also sir what about depreciated MM EDFA, cant it be used?
The emission crossection of Erbium Doped in Silica Fiber at 1310 nm is completely negligible. So its not possible to amplify signal around this wavelength. The emission and absorption crossections of doped amplifier are the material property of rare earths. If rare earths elements that have appreciable emission crossection around 1310 nm are doped in silica fiber than we can obtain amplification at this wavelength.
