    Thanks damian for ur reply.when i use polarization splitter , at one of its output i get complex data for x polarization i.e Ex(Real) and Ex(Imaginary) , but at second output still i get complex data for x and y polarization i.e Ex(real), Ex(imaginary) , Ey(real) and Ey(imaginary). the file is also attached kindly check and tell me the solution for that.

    I download the software as per ur instructions but the downloaded software is of version 13.0.2 but not 13.0.3. kindly suggest me how to download optisystem version 13.0.3

    thanks alitsu. so if to make the global bit rate same as overall bit rate i should divide the bitrate by the no of channels. I made a ckt with dcf. kindly check this and suggest me any changes in it. u send one file 112Gb/s dp-qpsk with dsp changed to dhiman i am not able to open this. can u tell me which version is required to open that. i am attaching the files. can u suugest me some papers or examples or osd filles on WDM-DP-QPSK which i can refer.

    When I made back to back DP_QPSK coherent optical system with and without DSP I got different results in both the cases in terms of BER. For the circuit having DSP component I got BER 0 but without DSP I got BER 0.5. The screen shot of the circuits is attached.Kindly check the circuit and suggest me which circuit should I use to study the effect of nonlinearities in DP-QPSK system.

    thanks samsung and alitsu for ur replies. Now I want to draw a graph between Power per channel and Q factor or BER for WDM-PMQPSK system. I am using PM_QPSK Coherent transmitter. How can i select power per channel from PM-QPSK transmitter.
    In some papers I have seen that the graphs are drawn between Power/channel and OSNR at some prescribed BER i.e at BER<10e-3 or some other value. How can We select particular value for BER to draw graph.
