Dear All,
Actually I built a mode multiplexing system with two mode each one with 8-DPSK.
But the system is working well for the fundamental mode but it provide closed eye diagram for the LP02 carrying mode.
I don’t know the source of the problem but i think that the power of LP02 mode is small.
The main 8-DPSK is downloaded from Optiwave download area.
Can anyone help me to improve LP02 BER?
Can i use EDFA black box for the LP02 amplification before transmission or it works only for LP02? (i tested it,it is not working with me).
In the last row,i mean “………..or it works only for LP01?”
You should be able to use the EDFA to amplify the modes. I just tried it out and it is working for me. LP 01 and LP 02.
The power does seem a lot lower for the LP02 mode. Have you tried using the built-in PSK coders and modulators? The simulation will probably run much faster and be more readable. Look at the example files in “OptiSystem 12 Samples/Advanced modulation systems/PSK systems”
