This plot is the sum of all LP modes presented at the output of polarization combiner, which results from interfering of the modes produced in each path. This plot can be generated in the Spatial visualizer that you already used.
So, I guess the issue is how to control the number of modes to achieve certain interfering pattern. I am correct?
