      Question:

Is it possible to setup a Sentinel HASP/Sentinel LDK license-server on a computer running a Linux distribution?

      Answer:

      Yes, please follow these steps.

      1. Install the “Sentinel Run-time drivers” on your Linux computer. You can download the installer appropriate for your Linux version from:

      http://sentinelcustomer.safenet-inc.com/sentineldownloads/?s=&c=End+User&p=Sentinel+LDK&o=Linux&t=all&l=all

The configuration details (firewall configuration, etc.) are the same as for Windows. The configuration instructions are available in the PDF documents on the installation CD.

      2. Plug in the hardware dongles (license keys).

      3. If the licensing server computer is on a different subnet than client computers, the HASP drivers on the client computers have to be configured to indicate the IP address of the licensing server.

The detailed instructions are provided in the manuals shipped with the software.
