1. In the forum I found 2 .osd files, but they cannot be opened.
2. When I am trying a simple transmission system, where considering the RSOA to erase the input signal, the output BER, eye heights are very poor.

Is there a paper you are trying to reproduce? There might be a way to tweak the Reflective SOA’s parameters to get a better BER or by changing the bit rate.

Yes, I am trying to implement WDM PON system using RSOA, for a paper. But before I do that, I wanted to see how RSOA behave. I wanted to remodulate the upstream signal with RSOA, but as I proceeded, The BER was not that good. I also tried varying some of the parameters of RSOA, like the Facet reflectivities and active length, But a good result was not obtained.

I am also facing similar problem, not getting good BER in upstream using RSOA please suggest something.
