I am doing some simulations with the help of OPTISYSTEM 13. I want to measure the reflections (reflected power) at the input port of the fiber. what components I have to use and how it is measured by simulation?
If you want to study reflections then OptiFDTD would be the right choice. With OptiFDTD you can define the fiber by its index of refraction profile and simulate an incident wave reflecting from the surface. This same functionality is not possible with OptiSystem.
