Recently, I designed a tapered fiber which has a graded-index core. For its complexity, I used the ” User defined profiles ” functions in Optibpm, both “User Function profile” and ” User DLL profile “. But I found them invalid in tapered waveguide or lens profile designing. In the simulation, the designed tapered or lens fiber profile with ” User defined profiles ” are all treated as a linear waveguide.
I cannot find the reason of this.
