On what basis do we select the frequency of the pump lasee used in the optical phase conjugation module for chromatic dispersion compensation in WDM systems?
Hello,
The pump laser is defined based on doped fiber used in the setup. For example if you you an EDFA, then the laser pump could be 980nm or 1480nm.
