On what basis do we select the frequency of the pump laser to be used in optical phase conjugation module?
The pump laser is defined based on doped fiber used in the setup. For example if you you an EDFA, then the laser pump could be 980nm or 1480nm.

I am simulating a WDM system with 16 channels with frequencies from 193.1 THz to 194.6 THz with 100 GHz frequency spacing. The multiplexed signal is to combined with a pump signal for optical phase conjugation. What should be the frequency of the laser used for this pump signal?
