Question:
Can I generate an optical frequency comb using OptiSystem software? And is it then possible to measure the phase noise?
Answer:
Yes, this is possible with our software. You can use our CW Laser Array combined with the Ideal Mux. Set the number of ports for each component to some value N representing the number of lines and set the linewidth to 0 MHz in the laser array to get the Dirac comb.
To measure phase noise, the quickest way is to use our OSA component.
I suggest another way to employ optical frequency comb by using cascade intensity modulator and phase modulator.
Hi Damian Marek and Tran Thanh Tuan
Could you please attach the osd file of the Optical Frequency Comb generator, I really need that for my project.
