In a simulation sample (Dual Port MZ Modulator Measured.osd) there are two filters: an optical bessel passband filter and an electrical bessel low pass filter. Why is it necessary to use two filters?

The first filter is optical to reduce ASE in the transmitted amplified signal and the other filter is electrical signal to get rid of high frequencies after detection.
