Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

I trying to design an MZM in photonic crystal .But i have a doubt whether there any option for voltage bias in photonic crystal.
Hi esakkimuthu,
What software do you use for your design? If it is OptiBPM then I’m pretty sure there is no options for voltage bias (based on my experience).
Sir ,i am using optifdtd.
can u please tell me the procedure to export the component of optifdtd to optisystem
ok, I see, sorry for confusion. I am not so sure if there is a voltage bias option in FDTD since I don’t have a lot of experience with it…
Hi esakkimuthu,I hope there is no such option only you can vary the power level thats it.
Hi esakkimuthu,
I recalled one thing according to your questions. In one of the forums, I asked Damian about usage of electrodes for OptiBPM. He mentioned that OptiSPICE is definitely definitely suitable for circuit level design, which include optical component and interconnects (waveguides, micro rings). If I am not mistaken, there should be an option to save your component and add it to the library so you can use it in FDTD (that was a topic of the other forum as well).
thank yo Ravil and Saurav
You are welcome, esakkimuthu. Best of luck to you!
Let me know how you’ll resolve your problem if you’ll have a chance.
