modulation AC parameter

hi all,

in the parmeter window of an fiber bragg grating in the optiayatem , there is one of parameter called as MODULATION AC. what that mean,and what is its physical significance?

there is yet another parameter called MODULTION DC.

i could not understand signifance and logically its modulation parameter of fiber bragg grating. for convenience i am attaching the pic highlighting the the modulation parameters of linearly chirped FBG in optisystem.
