Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

I want to design a ring resonator, i don’t know how to get that ring pattern into the Photonic crystal Structure. Also i couldn’t edit the individual cell parameter. Please help
Dear essakimuthu,
What kind of help u need and what kind of application will u prefer
Hi,
I made a quick demo file for this. To get the ring pattern you can simply draw a Photonic Crystal and under the Crystal Lattice Properties add a new Ring Waveguide Unit Cell.
Regards
Is there any options to see the input waveform in fdtd and can u tell what are the parameters that can viewed at the output.
In the example I attached I did not insert any input or detection objects, but when injecting a modal field you can solve the modes and then view them. With the detection objects generally you are looking at the electric and magnetic field components. There are of course plenty of parameters derived from the field, like the Poynting vector, normalized power, spectral density etc.
sir u sent me new version so can u please send the ring resonator in old version fdtd.
Hi,
Unfortunately I can only support the most recent version, as it would be too hard to support all available versions of our software. However, the demo file I made is indeed quite simple. Try following the tutorial at:
but instead of choosing Elliptic Waveguide as the unit cell, choose the Ring Waveguide.
Regards
dear I want to design the ring resonator as well but I need to put electrodes, any advice? still I am so confuse with this electrode story….
