after defining dual polarized signal (by splitting the optical signal using polarization splitter and then combine the separately modulated signals using polarization combiner) , i couldn’t restore the two signals correctly after using polarization splitter at the receiver i could only restore one signal correctly and noise for the second one , should i change any phase to restore both of them ?

also i tried to simulate DP-QPSK but the problem still exists

The polarization state of the lasers has to be correctly changed to combination of both x and y. Default lasers have only an x polarization, so to include some y polarization change the Azimuth parameter in the Polarization tab to 45 degrees.

Alternatively you could change the way the polarization splitters and combiners are angled, but then it would make your visualizers difficult to read because your signals would be mixed in both x and y.

      Regards
