My research group is interested in modelling the effects of various thicknesses of coatings (of known RI) to the transmitted light spectrum of LPFGs. Is there a straight forward way to achieve this in OptiGrating?
Maybe you can add one more region when you set the fiber profile.
Dear Ben,
It appears the only way to do this in OptiGrating is to create two or more projects, each with different thickness of coating. OptiGrating has the capacity to scan over grating parameters and refractive indices, but not layer thicknesses. So creating separate projects and comparing results seems the only way.
