Question:
I would like to simulate a PON by using burst mode modulation, is this possible?
Answer:
To generate burst mode optical signals, try using the Burst Modulator in Transmitters Library/Modulators/Electrical. Attached is an example of a burst mode modulated signal propagated through 50 km of single mode fiber at 2.5 Gb/s.
Is there any project related to Optical Burst Switching. One of my research areas is optical burst switching.
