Hello

It is possible to design a Raman spectrometer to analyse the energy in cells?
I am interesting in building spectrometers and OCT ( Optical Coherence Tomography) = NEUROLGY

I think that Optiwave should provide this type of applicacion in biomedical optics, it would be easier to build the lab experiment with a minimum percentage of error.

I think that i am going to request Optisystem trial for a 30 days to check Raman in more detail
but can i build an interferometer to get the signal from the cells? uhmmmmmmm

or i need raytracing and adaptive optics (Michelson)

Hi Luis! Our team in HMTI (Minsk, Belarus) design and build noncoherent difuuse scatering optical tomography. We also design and metrology approve a set of methodics for Raman spectrometer. Can you specify more exactly you needs and role of Optiwave software ?

Thanks for your reply, I would like to model a Micheson interferometer and Raman interferometer to study the cells reaction vs a drug for Alzheimer, the interferometry will also study the width variation of the vessel and the neuron activity. I know that I can build it in the lab and use raytracing. However I was asking myself if i could design the system with several lasers hitting examples of cells and analyzing the absorption in Raman and refection in OCT , and build an 3D spectral distribution.

Any ideas?

Further work will be the design an BIOSENSOR, however I have to think about this part.

The grant for the post doc is in the way. I am trying to get the resources to get started. I hope that Horizon 2010 program will approve my proposal. Also I have applied for a Chancellor Research Fellow at Edinburgh Univ and i have been rejected ( very sad).
