BER calculation

Dear Sirs,
I found a result at the “Electrical Constellation diagram” named “Q factor from Estimated Symbol Error at user defined Decision instant” is this value is Q^2 factor?
what is the relation between this value and BER? can I calculate BER from this value?
what is the formula that connect these two values?
