Home › Forums › BPM › Arbitrary input field E(x,y,0) in input plane by using file as a starting field
Does any one knows in “Input Plane” how can I apply the eigen function from “starting field” in “file section”(I don’t want to use modal or gussion or rectangular for starting field)! In other words where and how can I write “file” for using file in starting field?
Sardar,
The file formats are explained in the OptiFDTD User Reference Manual Appendix B: File Formats. Attached is a snippet of a file used for an Input Plane while running a 3D simulation. I have also attached a sample file that could be used as the starting field. Make sure that the number of mesh points in the simulation and in the file are the same.
Regards
Dear Damian,
Thank you very much for your support.
