  Dear Sir/Ma,
  I was able to learn from literature that I can obtain the absorbance and transmittance from a spectrophotometer and then calculate the absorption coefficient of water. Please with what instrument and how can I measure the scatterance and calculate the scattering coefficient of water?

  unfortunately, Optiwave has no access to instruments. However, you may find the attached paper very useful to address your question on light scattering in water.
