about user function profile

I set an user function profile which’s a kind of sin function.But when I view the Ref.index(n) in the layout designer,I find it looks strange.Why it doesn’t exactly look like a sin function? Or,does it just look strange but not affect the simulation results?

OptiBPM does not need to sample frequently in Z. The propagation step is often set quite long, because the structures for which BPM is appropriate vary slowly with Z. The sample you have looks under-sampled in Z.
