    Dear friends

    I am working on optisys 7.I want to generate DPSK signal.Apparently there is no DPSK signal generator in 7 version.Can anybody tell me how to generate it for using it on ROF link?Any alternative if not in 7 version?

    I want to add that A dual-drive LiNbO(3) architecture modulator with chirp management is proposed and developed offering SFDR > 25 dB in a 1.4 V bias excursion compared to only 0.5 V bias excursion in a conventional Mach-Zehnder electro-optical modulator (MZ-EOM). The architecture effectively extends the linear regime and enables the optical transmission of wireless systems employing orthogonal division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation such as ultra-wide band (UWB) which require high linearity over a broad frequency range due to their high peak-to-average power ratio (PARP). Radio-over-fiber UWB transmission in a passive optical network is experimentally demonstrated employing this technique, exhibiting an enhancement of 2.2 dB in EVM after 57 km SSMF when the dual-drive developed modulator is employed. Depending on your application you can choose between three transmitters: NRZ or NRZ, RZ and CS-RZ or a transmitter that supports six modulation formats: NRZ, RZ and CS-RZ and the three corresponding DPSK versions. As receivers we offer a photo receiver for NRZ, RZ and CS-RZ as well as a receiver for DPSK with built in decoder and a balanced detector. You may refer to this link.

    I have even observed in the tutorials section for QAM and DPSK.
    The min BER is 1 which means there are 100 % errors in received bits?

    i am working on 8-psk modulation technique. but i am not getting how to set threshold detector input and output threshold to get the output. as i am setting the similar values as given in your dpsk modulation and demodulation tutorial, i am not getting the result of ber analyser. please help me out

    Hi guys, I would like to ask you some questions.
    Here I use modulation formats of CSRZ, NRZ, RZ, RZDPSK and RZDQPSK in each systems based on https://optiwave.com/resources/applications-resources/optical-system-advanced-modulation-formats/
    The questions are:
    1. I put OTDV after the last MZM to see how the signal are modulated in every format. But I’ve been confused why with CSRZ there’s no transition in every bit.
    2. Why in NRZ and RZ there’s a delay for 1 bits in the beginning of transmit signal. Fyi, the information bit that I used is 1011.
    3. Can you explain me how RZDPSK and RZDQPSK modulated the signal like that?
    4. The comparison between receive signal in every format modulation?

    I would like to add that using an encoding/decoding (E/D) technique and optical thresholding multiple access interference (MAI) can be eliminated effectively. In on-off keying (OOK) OCDMA, the interference level is studied to be more and also requires high power level to maintain the desired BER for the given number of users with direct detection. Even after employing the optimum fixed decision threshold or adoptively varying the decision threshold with the number of users, the performance of the 8 asynchronous OOK OCDMA system does not meet performance level of differential phase shift keying (DPSK) OCDMA. Optical thresholding in OOK OCDMA can eliminate MAI to the extent as that of DPSK encoder/decoder in the system without sacrificing the BER and OSNR required for proper operation of the receiver.

    Hello friends,
    I would like to know about electrical CPFSK modulator component in Optisystem in which there are two ports one is for binary input another one generates electrical output. i just wanna know that CPFSK is a modulation format like NRZ or RZ If yes then can i generate a signal like PBRS connected with CPFSK and then modulate with CW laser via MZM.
    In some papers of Radio over Fiber they used directly as i mentioned but some paper uses like 10 gbps NRZ data is modulated with DPSK or what ever modulation they are using. I am confused because electrical CPFSK or DPSK cannot take electrical input if we generate data with NRZ and then modulate. Please help me out is CPFSK, DPSK etc are modulation formats like NRZ or RZ…….
