I want to add one more thing that if your system has a wireless part that you need to goo for MATLAB simulation otherwise the complete WDM system (irrespective of Modulation format used) can be designed completely with optisystem, For more details please go through the example that are available in ” Optisystem 14.0 samples”,
and so far as you have asked about the radio signal component, You can use the sine generator that is readily available in the defaults components library. and use it for the radio signal generation. first of all apply the bit stream generated using PRBS generator to modulate the optical signal and the resultant optical wave modultae by sine wave (analog modulation). In this way you are going to generate the required signal for the design. You are free to ask for any further query.
