Thank you Shahbaz. As I mentioned earlier, the change made in the eye diagram can be explained according to use of multi-channels the way you have in your attached WDM system.
You must be careful about using EDFA, since its noise figure might sometimes corrupt the signal. Isuggest that you give it a try and use one before the line, as well as one after the line (whose value must be determined according to the total attenuation of the channel) and see if it improves performance. And you’d better choose the bandwidth of your filter according to your channel spacing.
