Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

Hi,
I am looking for some information on the tunability in TWDM PON implementation. Is it possible to use and tune the DFB lasers and FP filters with respect to requirements in Optisystem? or do we have to interface another software with optisystem?
Hi Shahbaz,
Can you please elaborate a little more? More specifically, can you please explain what you mean by tuning the aforementioned lasers and filters “with respect to requirements in OptiSystem”? If, for example, you want the filter bandwidth to change according to the bit rate, you can use the script mode for this purpose.
Regards
Hi Alistu,
I know about script mode but that is different from what I need help for. TWDM PON has an option of tunability where lasers automatically tune to different wavelengths and similarly filters depending upon the need. Whether they are at transmitter side or receiver side.
I needed help in this regard if we can perform this in Optisystem or we will have to interface another software with Optisystem to perform this task?
hi shahbaz . ! i’m simulating WDM/TDM PON network .I am failed “upstream”. can you help me ?

Hi Hoat,
I understand. I’ll take a look at your simulation file and get back to you. Meanwhile, take a look at this discussion if it can be of your help and also if you will attach the screenshot I’ll be able to help promptly.
