Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

hello guys.
im new here.im currently doing WDM PON simulation. where can i find the laser driver in the component library? i search it but i cant find it.any idea?
Hi, welcome to the forum! Can you better explain what you mean by “laser driver” component?
Hello Che wan Faizul
First of all Welcome to optisystem, are you looking for bias voltage to give bias to the laser? or you are asking about any modulator driver coding. Please elaborate what component you are searching for in optisystem library so that all the forum members able to help you in better way.
Hi Che Wan Faizul,
I also think your question is not clear enough. However, since you are new to this forum and I reckon you do not have much experience with Optisystem, I strongly suggest that you use the tutorials and videos provided by Optiwave. I tried to find a list of components available in the library in the form of a tree diagram or something and might be useful for the beginners by giving info on how components are sorted in the library, but didn’t manage.
Hello! Wan Faizul
If you are new to optisystem and unable to find the components.
Go to any component> drag it to workspace>double click on component>lower right show option for help> click help> left part of new window provides you with list of all components. you can locate your component here.
Find the attached image for where to find component.
