Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

Dear all,
I’m trying to run the 100G PM-QPSK with LP11 mode as a carrier but i don’t know why the mode selector give me error although it is working alone.
It gives me an error even if it is only in file and not connected to the QPSK Tx and Rx as external laser.
Need your support.
Best Regards,
Hi Abdallah,
Ok this problem was a little more confusing than I thought. It can simply be solved by removing the loop control.
The long explanation is that noise bins are being generated in the loop and being fed back into the input of the measured multimode fiber, which doesn’t accept noise bins. This is what was giving the error to me. I didn’t see any problem with the mode selector.
Regards
greeting abdallah
this is vigneswaran from india, right nw i working few mode fiber amplifier so i need to work with optifiber to design a fmf , so i currently need some guidance along with that, i hope that you are working and designing the module using optifiber, i need your support and with your consideration , can i get ur mail id for further discussion
Dear Damian,
I removed the loop control and the error still appear in the mode selector.
Can you check?
Regards,
Abdallah
Hi Abdallah,
I ran your project file and I do not get any error with the Mode Selector. Does the simulation fail?
Dear vigneswaran,
