Hello, I need your help please.
I am designing an XG-PON2 network for a hospital, this will be my undergraduate thesis project and I need to do a simulation of the fiber optic links.
I have done the design in Optisystem 7 but I have two problems:
1. I don’t know how I can use one bi-directional fiber instead of two.
2. The signal received by the BER Analyzer from the OLT is not correct.
I look forward to your valuable help. Thank you very much.
Hello Gian,
you may refer to the example (XGPON.osd) in OptiSystem example library located at the following link for guidance on how to connect bidirectional fiber in the XG-PON.

Thanks a lot Ahmad,
Do you know if I can get an OptiSystem 17.0 license for free as a student or if there is one cheaper?
hugs!
You may download a 30-days free trial of OptiSystem from Optiwave’s Website.
There is special price to Universities.
