asalamualaykum.Hope you are fine and in good health. with respect sir,i am trying design a low cost system in which i used a ”white light source” as a source . the output of white light source is given to AWG(4×4) which separates the spectrum of white light source into different wavelengths(spectrum slicing).The output taken from ist output port of AWG is given to DeMux(1×8) which separates these different wavelengths. By setting the power of white light source in the order so that each separated wavelength (signal) has a power of 0dbm, i tried to modulate the signal as we do in any laser based system.After sending it through the fiber ,the received we get is distorted i. e, of very poor quality(high BER).I want to improve it so that i could make use of it. i hope you understand my problem and reply me asap.
