Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiSystem is a comprehensive software design suite that enables users to plan, test, and simulate optical links in the transmission layer of modern optical networks.
OptiInstrument addresses the needs of researchers, scientists, photonic engineers, professors and students who are working with instruments.
OptiSPICE is the first circuit design software for analysis of integrated circuits including interactions of optical and electronic components. It allows for the design and simulation of opto-electronic circuits at the transistor level, from laser drivers to transimpedance amplifiers, optical interconnects and electronic equalizers.
OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated, and user friendly CAD environment that enables the design and simulation of advanced passive and non-linear photonic components.
OptiBPM is a comprehensive CAD environment used for the design of complex optical waveguides. Perform guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing, and demultiplexing of optical signals in photonic devices.
The optimal design of a given optical communication system depends directly on the choice of fiber parameters. OptiFiber uses numerical mode solvers and other models specialized to fibers for calculating dispersion, losses, birefringence, and PMD.
Emerging as a de facto standard over the last decade, OptiGrating has delivered powerful and user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optic devices that incorporate optical gratings.

Hi
I am trying to make a WDM system with 8 channels , 40GB/s or 100gbit/s , over 500 km .
Quality factor > 8
Please I need your help
Anyone who know how to fix my project could help me plz
Thank you.
Hi Kais,
I made the formerly discussed change in DCF and managed to obtain Q-factor of greater than 8. Please see the file I have attached here (I have set the bit rate to 40 Gbps for 600 km fiber and made the corresponding changes in the signal bandwidth to the components). Please see if it helps.
Regards
Thank you very match Alistu , it helps me a lot
Hi,
I am uploading osd file of WDM with 8 channel over 500 km with good Q-factor having advanced modulation formats of CSRZ. you can vary no. of loops, bit rate, channel spacing andalso modulation formats and filters and its bandwidth.
Hi,
For 100 gbps over 500 km , i suggest you to use DPSK modulation formats.
You could use 8 channels with data rate 12.5 Gb/s(12.5*8= 100 Gb/s) or 4*25 gbps.
You should use dispersion compensation techniques.
increase channel spacing
