The new version of BPM do not support 2D simulation. You should try to find old version or buy full access to new version(contact with company to confirm your order and request before buy it).
The current version of OptiBPM does support 2D simulations. Please open the designer executable found in the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Optiwave Software\OptiBPM 12\bin” folder.
