I’m working on Tm doped fiber amplifier. I want to specify the loss @793nm and @2050nm, in the ‘Tm doped fiber’ component. How do I specify the ‘loss file’? I just want the Tm doped fiber have different loss @793nm and @2050nm.
Hello,
Thanks a lot for reaching out to us!
The “Loss” parameter in the Main window of ‘TM Doped Fiber’ is constant at 1310nm. If you want to specify the loss @793nm and @2050nm, then you can load a .dat file (which is a .txt file) and set the loss as a function of wavelength. I urge you to look at the “TM Doped Fiber” help document and towards the end of the document, you can see the format for defining the loss as a function of lambda.
For example, you can set it like this:
lambda[nm] alpha[dB/km]
793 ___
2050 ___
I hope this helps?
Warm Regards,
Saurabh Bedi.
I figure it out! THANK YOU! Thank you so much! Have a nice day!
