Symbol for Multi-mode Generator

Dear All,

As we know that all optical components have there symbol representation for making some schematic of a system. Can anybody tell what will be the suitable symbol of Multi-mode Generator?

do you mean a representation with respect to block diagram or something like that..
And if so then Where do you require the representation ??

Hello aadil,
As such there is no specific symbol for the multi-mode generator that i have come across. If possible you may go through some standard papers that have used multi-mode generator ( if any). I googled too but could not find any. You may have to necessarily go through papers to look for it.

Aadilqua i would say that for the generator as such we won’t have a symbol i would say u might have to break it into a transmitter symbol and followed by the multimode fiber that would signify the mutimode generator as is shown in the link below i would attack. it clearly shows in its example that the transmitter is followed by the symbol for multimode fiber. I hope it helps .

Yes ofcourse u can view the whole book online in the google books. The link i have attached is actually the whole book u can scroll up and down to view all chapter but yes u may not be able to download all of them i guess. The chapter provided by tanveer might be the downloaded part but the book as whole is available online. U can check it out.

I believe u can very much go through the chapters by mere scrolling up and down and it shows the rest chapters. I don’t know may be in your domain it might be locked which as such should not be so.

click on (PDF…),, see what happens,,,,
if it opens then be happy,,,,if not….then i think the accesss to it is provided by the university authorities. There might be some sort of agreement between this university and wiley publications…
