May I ask? Recently I follows the journal to do the system design. But there got a setting for spontaneous emission parameter and I cannot find out the setting is in which component. May I ask? Where I can find it?
you can find the spontaneous emission parameters where there are rate equations such as in Laser sources and fiber amplifier components.

Is it the parameter same as spontaneous emission factor?
Because spontaneous emission parameter from journal is in unit of per meter, but the spontaneous emission factor in the laser like rate equation laser is no unit. This makes me confuse about them
I think they are the same, but you have to understand the how the normalization process has been carried out to match them.
