Hello..i have a question. What is the difference between point source and input plane?
However, I’m designing a PCF crystal structure (attached). Leftmost two cavities (red marked) are my input. So what should be inserted there? Point source or vertical input plane?
Hi amin,
For the first part of your question, you can find full information about point and vertical source in the program manual. About your case study, the suitable source for cavity applications is the point source. The good results will be obtained by adjusting the location of the source.
