Hello Admin,
I face a problem while running Optifdtd. Whenever i click fast in the ‘designer’ tool of Optifdtd the program hangs and option comes to ‘close the program’ or ‘check for a solution’. I am working on the photonic crystals part in that.

Are you using OptiFDTD 12 (64-bit)? And which OS?

Nope, I am using Optifdtd 11.x , 32-bit.
Are you using a newer OS like Windows 8?
Using Windows-7 , 32 bit
