Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi,
I have a grating structure in which each grating teeth is formed by a rectangular waveguide. Is it possible to create sinusoidal structure instead of flat top for the grating teeth.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Cheers,
Anish
Hi,
Could you send a basic drawing of your grating (with dimensions), I can try to create a project file for you.
regards
Aurelien
Hi Aurelien,
I have attached a diagram of the structure that I wanted to create. It has dimensions written on it.
I have also attached OPTI- FTDT file with the structure that I have made for this design.
Thank you for help.
Regards,
Anish
Hi,
Sorry for the delay,
Here is your file slightly modified to include a sinusoidal grating profile. I did it for only one of the gratings, but it could be ported to the others without much problems.
I hope this helps
Best regards
Aurelien
Hi Aurelien,
Thank you very much . Its a clever way of implementing it.
Cheers,
Anish
